The panel painting ‘Portrait of Ryckaert after Van Dyck’ was mentioned in the inventory of decease of Erasmus II Quellinus, painter. He died on the 7th of November 1678.

This archival document starts immediately with the listing of the goods found in the home of the deceased, the introduction is not preserved. The comment in the margin reveals the name of the departed.

Inventory of the goods of Erasmus Quellinus. He died on the 7th of November 1678 in his residence in the Appelstraet. The notary continued the inventory on the 22th, 24 th and 27 th -of March 1679 in the presence of Hubertus Quellinus and Reijnier Adriaenssens.
