Van Dyck invited to Painter-Stainers’ dinner (27 November 1637)

Abstract

The Court of the Painter-Stainers’ Company invites Van Dyck to their St Katherine’s Dinner, 27th  November 1637; other diners include John de Critz, the Serjeant-Painter and his wife, Edward Norgate, Matthew Wren, Dean of the Chapel Royal and Inigo Jones, the Surveyor of Works.
