Abstract

In the Guild year 1609–10 Antonio Van Dyck was accepted in the Guild of St Luke as apprentice of Hendrik Van Balen.

figuersnijder. Ende hierna volghen de vrije meesteren

In the year 1609 Hendrik Van Balen was dean of the guild of St Lucas and the vice-dean was
Tiodrus [Theodorus] Galle, woodcutter. The undermentioned are the masters they received in the guild.
