Jordaens nominated as dean of St.-Luke’s Guild (18 September 1621)

Abstract

The city council appoints Jacques Jordaens as dean of the St. Luke Guild. When Jordaens refuses, he is ordered to accept the office and take the oath within twenty-four hours, on penalty of a fine of 100 guilders.

Jacques Jordaens is ordained again to take the oath as dean of the Guild of St.-Luke  within twentyfour hours of this notice, under penalty of one hundred guilder fine, to comply with old custom, Actum in Collegio, 30 September 1621
